Cleaning, crafting, cleaning, crafting...

Good Morning Everyone!

I have no where I have to be today, and I plan to keep it that way.  I have a lot I want to do, and will begin as soon as I finish this post.  I slept in today....7:30....felt great!  I have had coffee, browsed the web and feeling refreshed and ready to go.  First off, I have to admit, I have fallen off the wagon.  Yep!    I jumped off my cleaning wagon and my house has suffered.  I've had it!  I'm drawing out my feather duster like a mighty sword, and I will slay this messy house like no one's business today!  I have just the tool to get me back on track with that.  Enter the Flylady to the rescue!  I did a series of my flylady journey you can read it here.  I intend to get back on that wagon like my mighty white horse and ride on to victory!

After I'm done, I plan to jump off the wagon....er.....horse....er....fantasy land where feather dusters are swords and such.....and work on a sewing project, that I hope to be able to post about soon. ;)  Anyone want to join me in my journey to claiming my clean house back?  After you do, you can treat yourself to some fun time and check out this blog hop that I'm participating in today.....

Happy Cleaning!

Great Homeschool Find!!

Hi all!

We are now in our 8th year of homeschooling, and have never regretted a single second.  I feel very blessed to have had the opportunity to do so.  We have tried different curriculums throughout the years, some we liked, some...not so much.  As my daughter grows older, her interests change as well as her learning style.  This year we are doing a much more independently directed schooling. She likes figuring things out for herself and being able to move on without having to wait for me to climb back down Mt. Fold Me (the mountain of clothes that I just can't seem the get folded up here lately). We have a plan of what she needs to accomplish each day, and she gets right on it first thing in the morning, because she like to have her afternoon/evenings free.  Throughout the day, if she is not understanding something or needs some extra direction myself or my husband are there to help her out.  At the end of the day we discuss many of the things she has read about, which in turn promotes more curiosity about a subject, which then turns to investigating deeper through internet or a trip to the library.

I have an unbelievably wonderful website to share to all you homeschoolers, or those who are thinking about homeschooling.  I stumbled across the website completely by accident and have often wished I had found it sooner!  It's called Easy Peasy All-in-One Homeschool.  The woman who created this website is named Lee.  Her story is amazing, and has been led to offer all the homeschooling knowledge she has for free.  Yes, you heard right.....FREE!  She has compiled lessons upon lessons in all sorts of subjects in 180 day plans.  She has the daily lessons laid all out for you.  No preparing, searching, stressing over a plan.  She has graciously done all the work and has been led to share it. What a blessing to so many who want to homeschool, but can't because they don't think they can afford it.

I have not been asked or paid to write about this website.  I just can't keep such a blessing quite, and had to share my find with you all.  Hope some of you are blessed by this site, as we certainly were!

Happy Homeschooling!

Long time no blog!!

Hi all!
Well, it's been over two years since my last post.  Where has the time gone?  Let's see, that time must of gotten lost somewhere between two moves, going from stay at home mom, to working part time, to being promoted to full time Assistant Manager, to still homeschooling, taking my daughter to and from practices and performances to her new found passion.....clogging, and just trying to stay afloat with homemaking.  Needless to say, I've been just a tad busy! ;)

I've really missed my blog, and am dying to get back into the swing of things.  While, my busy schedule hasn't slowed, I'm just learning how to juggle it all and not feel like I'm drowning with just a straw poking through the surface to gasp for air.  Although some days still can seem that way!

So, do I still have some followers out there that are waiting with bated breath for my next post?  I look forward to bringing that wait to an end, and gaining back those followers who figured I had just fallen off the face of the earth.  For those of you still hanging in there with me.....what would you like to see?

Here's my journal that is waiting to be filled with the ideas floating around in my head.  However, I would love to first write about the things you all are most wanting to read.  Lets' hear it.....crocheting, how to's, homemaking schedules, homeschooling....what do you want to see first?

I look forward to hearing from you all, and showing you, while life can be busy, overwhelming, fast paced, time consuming....I'm blessed beyond words with a wonderful husband, daughter with a heart of gold, pup that just melts my heart, job that I love...and I'm doing....Just Peachy in Dixie!!

Happy Reading!
